Water Lily

Our son picked this for his mom. Couldn't resist a photo shoot. Although, he was told not to pick anymore and to leave them in the water for everyone to enjoy. Still...was cute of him!

Love Offered

This was a commissioned piece, that Shaun did. I was the hand model. Shaun took over 30 pictures of my hands, so he could work from the photos. ;o)

Wine and Srawberries

This is a very large painting. It now hangs in the home of the Mill's. Shaun set up a still life for this painting out on the deck...used an antique table cloth, some crystal, juice and strawberries. Yum!

Blood Orange and Ya Pear

Ruby

Shaun did this quick sketch and then finished it off with colored pencil. It is a sun flower that is dark burgandy, called "Ruby Eclipse". Private collection.

George

Portrait of George Bernard Shaw done in pencil. Private collection.

Glow

A Christmas painting that Shaun made for me. This painting is quite small aprox. 5x7.
Private collection.

Candles and Holly

We lived in a Century home for 3 years. It had large window sils that were so fun to decorate at Christmas. On this particular day, the windows were thick with frost. Shaun gave me this painting as a Christmas gift. Then 6 months later, he got it matted and framed, for my Birthday. I love it! It hangs in our living room. Private collection.

Zion Road Barn

Shaun's experiment with Gesso and watercolor.

Card

I (Holly) had the idea for this project. Shaun and I talked about it for weeks. I drew sketches and did some watercolor work too, using the color orange. It didn't seem to work. I couldn't get it out of my head though. Little did I know, Shaun was working away on it digitally (on his breaks at work). He surprised me with it as a Christmas card. I was so thrilled and thought that it was perfect~even more beautiful than I had imagined in my head! This is my favorite Christmas Card ever.

Warning: bathroom humor

Shaun designed this T-shirt for our son who is an avid StarWars fan!

"Three's a Crowd"

This watercolor is one of my very favorites that Shaun has done to date. It hangs in our kitchen. I love the drippy bits and watery blurs of the green at the top of the piece. This work was done from still life. The fruit sat on a glass table, thus the reflection. Beautiful. Shaun also took quite a few photographs of the still life.

Juicy

Shaun painted this, watercolor painting for an exhibit that was to be hung during a wine tasting event. It is a fairly large piece.

crab apples

This is a mixed media piece; watercolor and colored pencil that Shaun did. It was sold at an art show (thanks mom) before it was completed, as he worked on it, on site.

digital art

Shaun designed this for me (possibly in 2005), so I could have a festive but unique screen saver for my computer. I think it would also make a lovely Christmas Card.

1st Post

A friend contacted Shaun and I a few days ago and was asking too see some of our art work. It was pretty pathetic to admit that we didn't have a web site!! Later, that day I determined to set up a blog so that at least temporarily we could have somewhere to display our work. Now family and friends will be able to enjoy seeing the fruit of our labor.
